Sustainable practices

  • Animal Welfare

    Working exclusively with Red Tractor-certified farms, ensuring the highest standards of food safety, animal welfare, and environmental protection.

  • Soil management

    Promoting the efficient use of fertilisers to boost crop productivity whilst protecting biodiversity and encouraging the retention of carbon in the soil.

  • GHG EMISSIONS

    Setting a baseline for farm emissions.  This helps us pinpoint areas with the highest CO2e/kg FPCM and identify opportunities for reduction.

  • ANTIBIOTICS UTILISATION

    Systematically measuring and analysing the use of antibiotics to address antimicrobial issues.

  • Feed management

    We prioritise natural and organic feed, ensuring our animals are nourished without any additives or synthetic ingredients. Our farmers use sustainable, time-honoured methods to grow nutrient-rich, organic feed, reflecting our commitment to purity, health, and the environment.

  • Sustainability Survey

    Measuring and managing each farm’s sustainability progress annually. A reduction in GHG emissions is verified by an external advisor.

We’re producing millions of litres of fresh milk each year; we know there’s more than just the coffee cup and a bowl of cereal to think about. Our new scheme will allow us to work with farmers to mitigate the effects on our planet.

Packaging

Reducing our CARTON FOOTPRINT

To reduce our environmental impact and plastic use, we have launched carbon-neutral carton packaging. Offering a 77% recyclability rate at the end of its life cycle, our carbon neutral cartons will reduce 800 tons of plastic annually from the market. Our polybottles have clear caps and are 100% recyclable.
