FRESHWAYS ACQUIRE DAIRYSTIX
Freshways have acquired the DairyStix production facility in Plympton, Devon with effect from Oct 2014. DairyStix have been in production since 2007 making an immediate impact on the milk portion market, due to the fact that they reduce wastage and cost less than the traditional jigger pot.
Commenting on the acquisition, Director, Bali Nijjar had this to say:
“It is our belief that this acquisition will aid Freshways in its continued desire for growth, and will open the door into additional niche markets. We are confident we can maintain the personal level of service that customers of DairyStix will require, and this is an attribute that existing customers of Freshways enjoy. We're also extremely confident that the recent pre acquisition addition, to an already extremely modern and BRC accredited facility, of a Tetra Brick machine for both fresh and UHT milk will be of great benefit to schools and other sectors of the market. The personnel involved in the production and administration will remain unchanged to ensure a seamless transition"

FRESHWAYS POUCHES RESOLVE STORAGE ISSUES
Using this innovative packaging solution Freshways supply, along with other customers, a major national chain of 1,375 coffee shops.
The pouches reduce the use of plastic and create less material to recycle or end up on landfill. Critically, once the pouch is empty, the storage requirement for empty cartons is reduced to almost nothing as the pouch becomes completely flat.
